September Wrap Up

September was a slow reading month for me. I read 3 books. One was great one was not, and one was in between!

  1. Catching Fire, by Suzanne Collins, 391 pages, September
  2. Dork Diaries, by Rachel Renee Russell, 282 pages, September 12
  3. The Lost Symbol, by Dan Brown, 508 pages, September 30

After posting my Dork Diaries review. I ended up changing the rating (making it lower than I did before). Does that ever happen to you? After putting a book down, writing the review, and then thinking about it some more have you ever changed your mind?

I am excited that I was able to participate in Sunday Salon 3 times in the month of September! I do love reading the Sunday Salon posts.

I know I won’t be able to reach my goal of 100 books, but there is always next year!

  1. Nan, my September wasn’t better. I finished only two books. Here’s to an awesome October!!!

  2. Yes, I have changed ratings (both up and down) over time. Most notably, when I first posted about The Time Traveler’s Wife, I really didn’t like it but was trying my hardest to like it, because so many people loved it. I gave it a 3. A month later, I lowered it to a 2, and a month after that, to a 1. I added a note about the change. It’s ironic that I ever gave it a 3 because it’s the worst books i’ve read all year and the longer time goes on, the more I hate it.

  3. I read a lot in Sep but then I do have slack months!

I think I will read The Lost Symbol.

I will do a wrap-up post for Sunday Salon post tomorrow.

  4. Kathrin – I know we will read more than 2 books!

Amanda – I’m glad to hear that other people do change ratings. I have a feeling that Dork Diaries may even slip some more!

Gautami Tripathy – I’m looking forward to your Sunday Salon post.

  5. nan, I sure hope so!!!
